One of the few areas
on most vehicles that lacks performance is the intake and
filter. For a little money you can just
replace the whole intake. There are generally two types of
intakes available. The "Short" Intake, as opposed to the so-called "Cold
Air" intake. The short intake replaces the filter and
piping in the same position as OEM. The Short Intakes we sell
are available from AEM and Injen. The Cold Air Intake in most
cases re locates the filter ahead of the front tire. The cold
air intake reaches much further away from the engine to supply
the engine with cooler air. Thus the cooler the air the more
HP. While the cold air intake produces more horsepower than
the short intake it does cost a bit more. We would like the
warn you that it may be possible for the cold air intake to
suck water into the engine due to its filter position. For
this reason we recommend AEM's Bypass valve for those you live
in areas where flooding occurs. AEM Bypass Valve virtually eliminates the unlikely chance of water ingestion should the filter element become wet from deep puddles, rain, hail, sleet or snow–or any other scenario in which the filter element could encounter or become submerged in water.
We also sell filter replacements for intakes.

After replacing the intake or headers we think replacing the exhaust system would be the next best modification. There are several reasons to replace your stock exhaust system. First of all, aftermarket exhaust systems look much better than the stock system and have a much bigger exhaust tip giving your vehicle a more sportier and aggressive look and feel. Secondly the aftermarket units sounds much better and are generally louder. While not everyone wants an exhaust system that is loud or more aggressive looking, each company sells an exhaust that keeps a more subtle appeal and as quite as stock while still improving horsepower greatly over stock. While there are replacement mufflers we recommend a full cat back exhaust system, which replaces all piping and the muffler from the catalytic converter back. The catalytic converter plays a very large role in keeping your vehicle legal. We do not recommend the removal of the catalytic converter. Most companies have done extensive research in development in providing an exhaust system that is good looking, sounding and extremely beneficial in the exhaust airflow. We have several different exhaust systems for almost all makes and models. We also sell universal mufflers.

"Headers" is the market and modifiers way of saying exhaust manifold. Headers provide an improvement over stock pipes by primarily providing larger diameter tubing or configuration for higher airflow. There are generally two configurations: 4/2/1 and 4/1, with the numbers referring to the number of pipes and their configuration. It has been noted that 4 to 1 headers are good for producing HP in higher RPM while 4 to 2 to 1 are great for increases HP in mid range RPM. While both are different there own respective ways both may be used with different mods. Working in conjunction with a cat-back exhaust, one might see serious HP and torque improvements. While most import vehicles have finely tuned engines wringing more power out of them is not the easiest thing to do but headers is a great place to start. As far as warranty goes, only going inside the engine voids it so we are told. We do highly recommend checking with the auto manufacture or dealer before doing ANY modifications, which may possible void your warranty.
